Our History

1984

Rotary Club of Herentals in Belgium organized the first Rotary Cycling world Championships, with competitions in the following years.

1988

Rotarians from Belgium and Denmark decided to form a regular Rotary Fellowship. This is how the Fellowship Cycling to Serve (FCS) was born. It was recognized in 1988 by Rotary International in Chicago/ Evanston. Funds generated by registration fees and successful sponsoring are intended as prize money to the winners of the races for individual projects of their Rotary Clubs. Various projects of the organizing Rotary Clubs are supported as well.

1991

The 4 Days event started additional as Fellowship Cycling to Serve springtime’s event – Cycling tours in different groups had been offered so long by over 25 cycling enthusiastic Rotary Clubs in different regions of Europe.

Since 1988 unique cycling tours were successfully organized with participation of Fellowship Cycling to Serve members. Cycling To Serve is a preferred way to “transport” international Rotary projects on bikes.

The Organisation

The Rotary Fellowship Cycling to Serve is governed by a Board.
The Board appoints the National Representatives, who administer the membership, collect fees and help to organise regional cycling events.
